thirteen & families. Each show is different.

WHAT?
Interactive Puppet Shows!
WHERE?
Kathleen Jacobs & Puppets performs over 250
shows a year for schools, libraries, camps, museums, theaters, festivals and
community events throughout the Mid-Atlantic, United States.
Tours on the East Coast are planned. We have traveled as far as
Mesa, Arizona for school performances.
WHEN?
Anytime! We tour year round.
WHY?
To Entertain, Educate and Motivate!
HOW?
With skillful puppetry, wondrous theatrics,
humorous storytelling
& joyful participation!
HOW
long are shows?
Full-length performances are 45 to 55 minutes
long. Shorter 25-35 minute shows are available for
parties, festivals
and very young audiences.
HOW
much does it cost?
Contact us about price. Fees for multiple bookings are discounted.
Thanks to a Maryland State Arts Council, Arts in
Education Grant,
reduced price performances are available for some Maryland schools.
Ask for details.
HOW about
teacher’s guides?
Program guides are filled with ideas for follow
up classroom activities: Reading, Writing, Art, Drama, Recycling,
Puppet Building,
Conflict Resolution, and Life Lessons.
WHAT size
audience?
Recommended size of audience varies with program,
setting and age of children.
General guidelines:
On elevated stage: under 300 people preferred
On floor: under 200 people

WHAT
are your technical needs?
Electricity & Lights
WHAT
about sound?
We provide our own sound system.
Exception: We sometimes plug into sponsors system
at theaters, festivals and malls.
WHAT
are your space requirements?
For large audiences an elevated stage insures
visibility. If performance area is not elevated, children
must be
seated on the floor in order to have a good view. All programs include active participation so
access steps
directly from the stage to the audience are needed.

WHO
makes the puppets?
Kathleen, a former art teacher, designs and
builds all her colorful puppets, costumes and sets. She demonstrates
simple ways for children to construct puppets for their own shows.
WHO
writes the scripts?
Kathleen combines original pieces with adaptation
of folktales to create unique shows filled with active and joyful
participation.
WHO
performs the show?
Kathleen, puppets & helpful volunteers from
the audience.
